Carol Krakower
Carol Krakower thoroughly enjoys helping people achieve communication through the science of speech pathology. With a master’s degree from the College of New Jersey, she has many years of experience in a variety of settings. She is the author of the book Practical Theory of Mind Games, published by LinguiSystems, and has trained teachers in public speaking instruction for students, as featured in the New Jersey Educational Association’s Review. Carol has given presentations on Theory of Mind at Penn State College of Medicine and through national webinars to train other speech pathologists.
Carol holds certifications in two special voice therapy programs for people with Parkinson’s: SPEAK OUT! and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Program (LSVT). She is also trained in Lindamood-Bell LiPS, PROMPT and Rosenfeld-Johnson’s Three-Part Treatment for Oral-Motor Therapy and in Orofacial Myology. She is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), American Speech-Language Hearing Association and American Academy of Speech Pathologists in Private Practice.
Carol is a speaker coach for TEDx Talks and was president of Shore Speakers Toastmasters. She has coached students in public speaking to national championships. Her enthusiasm for speaking must be contagious. Two of her five children are now speech pathologists.
